Pitchers and Catchers report
Today is the (voluntary) report date for pitchers and catchers of Major League Baseball(MLB).
Although some teams have already started, this is regarded as the beginning of spring training.
Wikipedia: “Pitchers and catchers report to spring training first because pitchers benefit from a longer training period.“
Since Keith is a baseball historian, MLB employee and baseball fan, this means the beginning of more baseball related tweets, blogs posts (see Baseball Nerd) and pictures.
Those of you not interested in baseball: please refrain from scolding Keith for his passion and indulge him. It makes him happy and political realities more bearable.
Those of you interested in baseball: You are now allowed to bombard Keith with baseball related questions, ask for help with your fantasy teams etc. But be polite and accept when Keith has a different opinion. Be a good fan and have a great season!

The problem, of course, is that Keith’s a fan of the Evil Empire,…
He says he’s not a Yankee Fan, just a customer. He describes himself as a baseball fan. In my opinion his connection to the Yankees is still there but now merely due to family tradition, memories and season tickets in his city. Otherwise he’s a fan of his friends, like Francona.
