Keith on the Colbert Report (6/15) and a Special (video) comment about Weiner

Keith visited The Colbert Report yesterday (in a purple tie of course).

Stephen was very patient and understanding with the recovering TV anchor. He carefully reintroduced him to the cameras and microphone. Though Keith failed the math test, he was clearly the one with the pants on in this interview.

A new Word Storm for Keith (updated)

Update: Keith will be on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Thursday. This would be the first time he’s back at 30 Rock (Studio 6B).

Keith was once before on the Colbert Report on March 14, 2006. But this time he has to retrieve his essence which Stephen stored in the Olbermug. It was last seen fighting it out with the O’Reilly microwave TCR stole from papa bear’s set.

Last time Stephen ended the interview with “Mr. Olbermann, please come back if you ever feel right about something.“

Rachel talks about Keith, who wants world domination but gets “Hannitized” in fashion

Yesterday, Rachel Maddow was on The Late Show and Dave’s first questions were about Keith. She also cleared up the misconception about both not talking.

“My friend Keith (…) We have not talked since he left MSNBC but I don’t think that’s for any important reason. We’ve been busy.“

Also, the Associated Press has another interview published by  ABC, among others, with more details about the studio and Keith’s wish of world domination. Most important fact: The set for his show hasn’t been delivered yet.

Misconceptions about Keith, a new First Guess and npr philosocups

The interviews from yesterday were followed by two major misconceptions

1. Several articles wrote Keith had claimed he’s earning $10 Mio.
He never said anything about how much he is paid. The most he said in the last months is that he does not earn less than before ($7.5 Mio on MSNBC) though Current stated he will have an equity stake.
2. Most of the same articles imply Keith had some kind of fallout with Rachel Maddow. This is not true.
He said in his interview with THR that he didn’t talk to her since he left in order to not put pressure on her (since his break up with MSNBC was not amicable). He made it clear on twitter today that he wants and will talk to her once that does not get her in trouble with her bosses.  He explicitly called her his Friend Forever.

According to one of his tweets the THR story is not completely accurate (presumably parts of others commenting on him) .
